Sysinno iAeris32 Powers Smart Poles at Kaohsiung Arena- Setting a New Benchmark for Urban Air Quality Monitoring

As part of Kaohsiung City’s ongoing smart city initiatives, an integrated smart pole and air quality monitoring system has recently been deployed around Kaohsiung Arena. The project is led and integrated by Hwacom Systems, featuring Sysinno’s latest-generation iAeris32 outdoor air quality sensor. This installation serves as a real-world demonstration of how environmental sensing and public information display can be seamlessly combined within urban infrastructure.
Outdoor Air Quality Monitoring with Real-Time Display
The iAeris32 outdoor air quality sensor provides accurate measurements of key environmental parameters, including PM2.5, PM10, CO, temperature, and humidity. Designed for long-term outdoor deployment, the device features a ruggedized structure suitable for high temperatures, high humidity, and coastal environments, making it ideal for southern Taiwan’s climate.
When integrated into smart poles, air quality data is transmitted in real time to the smart pole management platform, enabling venue operators and city administrators to easily monitor environmental conditions. Key indicators such as：

Through this integration, smart poles evolve from basic urban infrastructure into intelligent nodes that actively deliver environmental information to citizens.
Supporting Smart City Governance with Environmental Data
By incorporating air quality monitoring into smart pole deployments, city governments can gain continuous insights into urban environmental conditions, accumulate long-term datasets, and support future data analysis and policy decision-making. This project highlights how smart city technologies can be effectively implemented at scale.
